About Sanae Floral Craft:
Tsumamizaiku is a traditional Japanese craft made from small, square-cut pieces of cloth (usually chirimen or cotton crepe raw fabric) that is delicately pinched and folded with tweezers. It originated over two hundred years ago during the Edo period in Japan.
There are two types of techniques:’Maru-Tsumami’ and ‘Ken-Tsumami’which are used to make patterns of flowers or birds. The most famous handicraft using this technique is ‘Kanzashi’, a hair accessory created to be worn and matched with a Kimono (traditional Japanese clothing / Maiko’s cloth). I am using this technique to create my floral craft and hair accessories.
Our products are suitable for celebrations such as your child’s Shichi-go-san*, Coming of Age Ceremony or a Wedding Ceremony. Not only limited to hair accessories, we also create other items such as decorated photo stands. These memorable items, created withTsumamozaiku Floral Craft will enhance your precious memories. We can also create made-to-order items using vivid colour Tsumamizaiku, as unique gifts for your family and loved ones.
*Shichi-go-san, which means seven, five and three, is a Japanese annual event to celebrate healthy growth and wish longevity.
